Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, marks the start of the holiday gift buying annual marathon. Especially this year, retailers want to lift holiday sales as quickly as possible, to close the sluggish two holiday seasons ago.

For the bargain hunters who hunt gift shopping, merchants have made a special agreement is interesting, especially on major holiday favorite products, like toys and electronics. "We estimate there are 1,800 people waiting to enter our store at midnight," said Nick Nicolosi, general manager of North Point Mall in Alpharetta, Gerogia.

Nicolosi said, the buyer will immediately queue up at midnight in the bidding game console like Sony PS3, Nintendo Wii bundle, Apple iPad and iPod accessories. Clothing is another favorite category, where shoppers will fill their shopping bags with brand-specific retail brands, guaranteed, such as H & M, Forever 21 and Victoria's Secret with a party dress and her clothes lounge. Ugg Boot type also emerged as another favorite gift.

Blowing snow does not reduce the queues of people outside during the opening Herberger and Sears in Holiday Village Mall in Great Falls, Montana. Toys R Us did not even wait until Friday to launch bonanza Black Friday. For the first time in the history of the retailer, all Toys R Us stores' opened at 10 pm on Thanksgiving, not midnight as usual.

While Wal-Mart supercenter in New York, Long Island is also quite busy, of course without the chaos that often seen in recent years. Hundreds of shoppers coming to Wal-Mart stores, with one of the most wanted product is a 32-inch flatscreen TV Emerson, who sold out after midnight.

Marshal Cohen, retail analyst at NPD Group said the major, compared to last year, consumers seem to have a Black Friday shopping strategy better. "Buyers surprised us, by being in the store from midnight to ljma morning. This really help a buyer for its plans," he said.

Cohen said, the buyer today is more strategic and less impulsive. "They do their homework, to choose the best offer. They have a slightly larger budget this year, but they are not wasteful. Not in a hurry are tempted big deals."

Although there is an explosion for HDTV sales, Cohen said after the TV doorbuster sold out, other TV transaction was not easily provoked to sell. "However, the camera is still quite attractive," said Cohen.

The biggest surprise for him was the popularity of kitchen equipment. Wal-Mart and Target make a transaction on a toaster, coffee maker and other equipment, at a price of U.S. $ 3 and below. "Personally, I'm surprised this equipment is sold out," he said.

Very important holiday season for retailers, because the combined sales from November to December is the accumulation of 50% full-year sales and profit. Predicted holiday sales rose 2.3% this year, according to the National Retail Federation. This is an improvement from last year's profit of only 0.4% and 3.9% decline in sales in 2008.
