The coffin used for body of Lee Harvey Oswald will be auctioned within the next few weeks.
Men who believed shot President John F Kennedy was buried in a coffin of pine wood for almost 20 years.
His tomb was opened in 1981 because his wife wanted to make sure that the corpse in the coffin is then buried her husband and returned with a new coffin in the same cemetery in Texas.
Auction officials said the initial bid for the casket is $ 1,000 and estimated the final price will be much higher.
"Many are attracted to things about Kennedy and murder against him," said Laura Yntema, manager Nate D Sanders's auction house in Los Angeles.

Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested about an hour after President Kennedy was shot to death in Dallas on November 22, 1963.
