James Bond gun auction poster

The gun held by Sean Connery as James Bond in a promotional poster for the film From Russia With Love sold 277.250 pounds (about USD 3.7 billion) in the auction.

Walther air pistol was sold ten times more expensive than the estimate of around £ 15,000, £ 20,000 at Christie's auction house in London on Thursday (25/11/10).

Meanwhile, Darth Vader costume from the movie series Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back does not sell, whereas previously expected to be sold for £ 230,000.


Costume is sold by a collector from the United States who purchased it in 2003, is the first Vader costume auctioned.

James Bond gun used in the film The Man With the Golden Gun, in 1974 sold for £ 15,000.

Last month, a fan of American cars to pay £ 2.6 million cars in 1964 Aston Martin DB5, complete with license plate number, driver seat and bulletproof glass, used in the films Goldfinger and Thunderball.
